This tool strips EXIF data from photos: camera model, capture time, aperture, and most importantly the GPS coordinates of where the shot was taken. It matters when you post product photos, pictures of your home, or family images publicly and do not want strangers to pinpoint the location.
It works by redrawing the image onto a Canvas and exporting a fresh file, a process that keeps only the pixels and discards the entire metadata block. The trade-off is that the stored rotation flag disappears too, so a portrait photo from a phone may appear sideways if the viewer does not auto-orient.
